What exactly Shout Out Out Out Out – does anyone else get really tired when writing that name out? – will attempt to do when it unleashes its long-awaited sophomore studio album, Reintegration Time, on May 5th remains to be seen, at least we know it will be mark the latest example of the electro rockers’ “ongoing obsession and devotion to the world of analog synthesizers.” We also know that he 10-track effort, described as “pure, raw voltage” and full of guest contributions (Cadence Weapon and San Serac are among the names lending their talents), will also seek to reflect the varying tastes of the band and combine them with the aforementioned synth-heavy sounds.
Got all that? Again, we’re not really sure where the idea of reintegration, or to “restore to unity,” as Merriam-Webster dictionary defines it, fits in to all that, but that isn’t stopping us from being excited for the dance-friendly beats that are about to besiege us.
