Long considered one of the spring’s best kept secrets, the Beale Street Music Festival has evolved recently into one of the premier events of the season, consistently offering a lineup for all ages, backgrounds, and taste. After all, where else are you going to find Al Green, Elvis Costello, and James Taylor sharing the same stage as 311, Fall Out Boy, The All-American Rejects?
Well, you’ll certainly find these names and more when the Beale Street Music Festival returns to Memphis’ legendary Beale Street come May 1-3 as part of this year’s Memphis in May. Other acts of note on this year’s lineup, which will feature more than 60 top acts spanning four stages, include The Roots, Snoop Dogg, Ben Harper & Relentless 7, Rise Against, Katy Perry, Three 6 Mafia, George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic, Jerry Lee Lewis, Jack’s Mannequin, and Steve Miller Band.

As mentioned, the Beale Street Music Festival is just one event in the month-long Memphis in May International Festival. Other events scheduled to be part of this year’s festivities include a salute to the country of Chile, a barbecue cooking contest, and a concert by the Sunset Symphony.
