The Mile High Music Festival made quite an impression in its initial go around last year, in fact, so much so, that the Denver, Colorado is not only proudly sporting the honor of being “Denver’s Best New Music Festival,” but also gearing up for its return.
Ok, so maybe the former isn’t something to write home about, but some would argue the latter is. After all, just take one look at this year’s recently unveiled lineup: Tool, two nights of Widespread Panic, The Fray, and Incubus head Mile High ’09, while Ben Harper & Relentless7, Gov’t Mule, The Black Keys, Ani DiFranco, and just about every band starting with the letter “G” make up other acts of note set to appear at Dicks Sporting Goods Park from July 18-19.
All in all, Mile High’s 2009 lineup looks something like this:
3OH!3, Ani DiFranco, The Band Of Heathens, Ben Harper & Relentless7, The Black Keys, Buddy Guy, Davy Knowles & Back Door Slam, Dead Confederate, Electric Touch, Erin McCarley, The Fray, G. Love & Special Sauce, Galactic, Gogol Bordello, Gomez, Gov’t Mule, Guster, The Greyboy Allstars, HoneyHoney, Incubus, India.Arie, Jerry Joseph & The Jackmormons, Joe Pug, John Butler, Lyrics Born, Mat Kearney, Matisyahu, Paolo Nutini, Paper Bird, Railroad Earth, Robert Randolph & The Family Band, Rocco DeLuca & The Burden, Set Forth, Tool, The Wailers, Widespread Panic (two nights)
