Chalk up another high-profile tour coming soon to a venue near you. According to Blair McKenzie Blake, who maintains Tool’s official website, Maynard James Keenan and company will hit the road this summer for a North American tour.
Although I can’t announce any specific dates yet (as the bulk of the dates haven’t been confirmed), once they are finalized and official, we’ll be sure to announce them on the site. So… be on the lookout for these dates to be posted soon, and get ready for live Tool this summer.
The tour, which will mark Tool’s first public performances since late 2007, will likely be built around the band’s rumored headlining appearance at this year’s Lollapalooza. No word on whether additional festival appearances will be included on the tour, or what the band will be performing in support of – in February, guitarist Adam Jones told Guitar World that Tool had begun work on the followup to 2006’s 10,000 Days.
