Dengue Fever returns to Europe and reveals unreleased tracks

The zany psychedelic surf rockers Dengue Fever are best known for their highly complex music which you’d expect to pop up in an old spaghetti western or an episode of FLCL. And with three records already under their belt, the mighty six members just can’t seem to get enough. Recently, they’ve been touring non-stop and working hard on the soundtrack for Sleepwalking Through The Mekong and now, just when we thought they’d be tuckered out, Dengue Fever went and surprised us with an all new European tour!

What’s all the attention for, you ask? Well, at some point during last year’s European tour, Dengue Fever managed to squeeze in some studio time, resulting in almost an album’s worth of material. The ten new mixed and recorded tunes will be available for digital download for one month starting on June 24 through the Society of Sound; a new “members only” download club featuring specially commissioned albums and other rare material.

Unfortunately the only information we’ve been given about the new songs are their names and that a few of them were recorded at a private life show, but considering their past work, Dengue Fever will most likely stun us again with some more eclectic and delightfully strange Cambodian pop songs.
