With all their exploits with David Byrne and Björk these days, it’s easy to forget that the Dirty Projectors do in fact have a new album due out on June 9th. A new album, which as it now turns out, will be available in four formats: CD, vinyl, digital download, and cassette. Yes, on June 9th, the Dirty Projectors will be rockin’ like its 1989 with the release of Bitte Orca on limited edition cassette (pre-order here).
Of course, for the rest of the summer, the Brooklyn rockers will get to rock like, well, it’s today, courtesy of a newly announced North American tour in support of the release. Following the benefit gig with Björk on Friday in New York, the Projectors will embark a six-week endeavor, the first half which will consist of a slot in support of TV on the Radio and an appearance at Bonnaroo and the latter featuring headlining spots.
