Lucero gets on MTV, celebrates with tour

placeholder image

What better way of celebrating a much coveted spot on MTV airwaves, then with a North American tour! Yes, in support of  the channel’s new program $5 Cover, which is semi-fictional “musical drama” that focuses on the Memphis music scene and co-stars singer Ben Nichols, who plays himself oddly enough, Lucero has announced plans for a month-long endeavor. The fun kicks off in Baton Rouge on May 6th and takes the bands west before turning east and concluding with an appearance at this year’s Wakarusa Music Festival.

So maybe good things actually do still come out of MTV.

    Well, maybe.
