The Feelies’ first two albums to be reissued

Given that The Feelies will be performing their innovative classic, Crazy Rhythms, from beginning to end at the upcoming New York edition of All Tomorrow’s Parties, it makes sense that they’d further celebrate the benchmark album by reissuing it along with its follow-up, The Good Earth, as Prefix Magazine reports they’ll do.

The album, which combines avant-garde sensibilities (drummer Anton Fier is among John Zorn’s many comrades) with pop music structure, has been cited by countless bands since its initial 1980 release as an enormous influence. The releases are set to include the albums in full, as they were originally sequenced (that means Crazy Rhythms is minus the “Paint It Black” cover), with bonus tracks and access to digital downloads.

The reissues will be unveiled on September 8th via Bar None in the U.S. and Canada and Domino everywhere else.
