The Get Up Kids keep the reunion going…

After a few one-offs, including a hometown gig last November, The Get Up Kids are finally ready to take their reunion everywhere, and when we say everywhere we’re not kidding. Beginning in mid-September, following an extensive rock of European tour dates, the Kansas City rockers will embark on what is a North American tour that currently spans two months and will take the group to over 40 cities before concluding on November 18th in Austin, Texas.

The tour will coincide with the 10th anniversary re-release of the band’s most successful release, 1999’s Something to Write Home About. Due out on September 9th via Vagrant, the package will include a DVD, photo album, and footage of the band’s reunion show in Lawrence, Kansas last March.

Tickets for the newly announced dates will go on sale beginning Thursday, July 23rd via Ticketmaster.com.
