While he’s not too busy editing his school’s magazine, heavy metal giant Lemmy and the rest of Motörhead are out dominating the world. According to Classic Rock Magazine, former Guns N’ Roses and Velvet Revolver drummer Matt Sorum will replace longtime drummer Mikkey Dee for the band’s upcoming tour. The reason? Dee will be appearing on the next installment of the Swedish version of the reality series I’m A Celebrity…Get Me Out Of Here!

According to Lemmy himself:

“I can’t wait to see that,” chuckles Lemmy. “He’s in the Malaysian jungle, and he doesn’t like bugs. And I think they have to be parachuted into the fucking thing – and he doesn’t like heights either. So it’s definitely going to be worth watching.”

Although Motörhead’s world tour is currently ongoing (see dates below), Sorum’s participation is still a few weeks away, as he has yet to practice with the band. This doesn’t phase ol’ Lemmy one bit however:

“No, not yet. He’s going to have to learn some bits of it from the live DVDs. He’ll come out for a couple of days before he starts to watch Mikkey to get the idea. He’ll be alright, he’s a professional.”

Either way you cut it, Sorum’s drumming will definitely make Motörhead much more badass than they already are. This should be exciting!
