This time last Friday, we were telling you about Tegan & Sara’s plans to spend the New Year touring the fine country of Canada. As it now turns out, the gentlemen of Wilco will be doing the same.
As part of what is being deemed the “Trans Canada” tour, the Chicago outfit will spend most of February and the beginning of March touring the country’s many cities. Among particular highlight will be a February 13th appearance at David Lam Park as part of Vancouver’s Winter Olympics festivities. Yes, kids, Wilco is playing the Olympics!
What’s more, Wilco has also managed to squeeze in a few U.S. tour dates, so folks in Missoula, Portland, Seattle, Duluth, Madison, and E. Lansing will all have an opportunity to spend the beginning part of 2010 with Jeff Tweedy and Co.
Until then, Wilco still has a currently ongoing U.S. tour to tend to, which will be followed by a previously announced European outing. Find the band’s complete itinerary below.
