Looking to get keep their now nearly two year reunion going, Colorado punk rockers ALL are heading to the East Coast this January for their first dates there in seven years.
While ALL has gone through a couple of lineups during its 13 year existence, the lineup scheduled to appear on the upcoming tour dates consists of Scott Reynolds on vocals and founding members Stephen Egerton on guitar, Karl Alvarez on bass, and Bill Stevenson on drums.
In case you weren’t aware, ALL, which was born out of the demise of pop punk band The Descendents, returned after a multi-year hiatus for 2008’s Riot Fest in Chicago. This was followed by additional shows in Japan and Denver that same year. Then, this past summer, the group played a series of dates in its current homeland of Southern California. After one more show in Portland, the band set up this short, current batch of dates on the other side of America.
As for what else is on the horizon? When asked at Riot Fest about the prospect of a future album, Reynolds said three conditions must be present first. There has to be a demand for new music from the audience, he has to feel the need to create, and “the last reason would be the ‘bro’ factor, where we’re all such good friends and it hasn’t been the same since and we should make a record. And we haven’t really had any contact over the years; we’re just now getting to know each other again.” So, maybe, just maybe, we’ll also be getting the followup to 2000’s Problematic sometime soon as well.
