Update: As her Australian label, Spunk, has confirmed, Newsom will release her third studio album, titled Have One on Me, on February 23rd.
Something is brewing in the world of Joanna Newsom, as evident by an incredibly cryptic comic posted by her label, Drag City, earlier today. The comic, which you can check out below, is titled “Have One on Me” and features a man pulling up a woman’s skirt only to reveal a little person. It is accompanied by a tease from Drag City noting, “The Noose…um, draws closer.”
Emails sent to Drag City have yet be returned, but considering the internet has been a buzz in recent weeks over the possibility of a new album from the acclaimed musician, we’re going to garner it has something to do with that. Of course, more as it becomes available.
