Madonna‘s career has been made up of peaks of creative output and societal celebration (and sometimes with a light dose of shaming) and then a period of utter indifference. After her record-breaking Sticky & Sweet Tour, which drew over 3.5 million fans in all, Madonna’s in one of those high points. And she’s keeping the momentum going with a new tour DVD.
According to Rolling Stone, Sticky & Sweet will be available on DVD, Blu-ray and CD. The concert, shot over a four show stint in Buenos Aires in front of over 256,000 fans, will be broken into four segments that reflect Madonna’s chameleon-like persona changes. Expect tracks ranging from classics of “Like a Prayer” to newer hits like “4 Minutes”. And, yes, since this is in Argentina, expect “Don’t Cry For Me, Argentina” to make an appearance.
The DVD will also feature 30 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage. For a sample of what to expect, watch the near senior citizen Material Girl jump rope and sing “Into the Groove”. Now that’s multitasking.
Sticky & Sweet hits stores on March 30th.
