Four months after finishing a North American tour with FatCat labelmates Frightened Rabbits, The Twilight Sad, and BrakesBrakesBrakes, indie rockers We Were Promised Jetpacks will be back on the road again next month. This time, the Edinburgh, Scotland four-piece will be on its own — the first headlining tour for the group.
The band is currently touring Europe, and will hit stops in the Netherlands, Denmark, Italy and elsewhere. At the month’s end, the guys will cross the Atlantic for a tour spanning the U.S., beginning at New York’s Bowery Ballroom on February 11, and covering everywhere from Los Angeles and Chicago to Omaha and Hot Springs, AR. The tour will end in mid-March at South by Southwest, marking the band’s second appearance at the annual Austin festival.
We Were Promised Jetpacks will be supporting last June’s debut album, These Four Walls, which has been nominated for London radio station Xfm’s New Music Award. Tickets can be found via Ticketmaster.
