Following up on the awesomeness that is the inaugural lineup for the Hopscotch Music Festival, the Lousivlle, Kentucky based Forecastle Music Festival is another music-filled weekend to get excited about. For its ninth rendition, organizers have pieced together a bill that includes headliners The Flaming Lips, Widespread Panic, and Spoon, along with an impressive mid-tier featuring the likes of Bassnectar, Minus the Bear, Drive-By Truckers, Ted Leo & the Pharmacists, Break Science, The New Deal, EOTO, Lucero, Two Fresh, and the recently reunited Cap’n Jazz. Over sixty more performers will be announced in the upcoming weeks, including additional headliners.
In all, Frecastle 2010, set to take place from July 9-11 at Waterfront Park, will feature over 75 bands, DJs, and electronic artists on (4) festival stages, along with regional art installations, the Sustainable Living Roadshow, an expanded outdoor extreme sports park, Patagonia Footwear Film Pavilion, SPROUTS Rock, Relax, and Refresh childrens eco-info zone, outdoor industry demos, renewable energy exhibits, organic food options, discussion panels, speakers, dance tents, and more.
Three-day passes, priced at $135.00, will go on sale starting today (1:00 PM EST) via Ticketmaster.com. VIP packages will also be available.
