The first time I ever heard of HARD, it involved an Underworld show that got shutdown before it really began. But since then, HARD has emerged as a premier institution for putting on danceable shows featuring the best electronic acts in the business. They even snagged M.I.A. to play a couple shows for them this summer.
So, it makes sense for HARD to take their single night ecstacy fests on the road… Basically, you’ll never have to come-down!
The creatively named Hard Tour will make 12 stops this summer in the 12 obvious spots for a cross-continent tour, and the inaugural edition offers a pretty rad headliner: Crystal Castles (via Pitchfork). Though not the best at making friends, the duo are known to put on an electrifying show when they care to. Plus, they are rumored to have a new record out as soon as June. Rounding out the bill are Rusko, Sinden and Mr. Hard himself, Destructo.
Like Randy Newman, HARD loves L.A., and the Los Angeles stop will be the HARD Summer Festival. In addition to the aforementioned artists are: Soulwax, Tiga, Diplo, Digitalism, and Green Velvet. Tickets, priced at $55.00, are available here.
