Lupe Fiasco-related supergroups have a history of being awesome. Lupe Fiasco-related supergroups also have a history of never really transpiring. So, I’m not sure how to react to the rapper’s recent Tweet, which conveys the idea that he has teamed up with the likes of Asher Roth, The Cool Kids, Wale, B.o.B., J. Cole, Charles Hamilton, Blu, and Diggy Simmons for something called the “All-City Chess Club”.

Though the exact nature of the “All-City Chess Club” has yet to be announced, illRoots reports that the rappers are working together on a remix for Fiasco’s track “‘I’m Beaming”.

Meanwhile, Fiasco is still gearing up for a release of his long-delayed third studio album Lasers, set to maybe drop sometime this year. The rapper also appears in “Past My Shades”, a single from B.o.B.’s debut album B.o.B Presents: The Adventures of Bobby Ray, which is scheduled for release on April 27th.
