It turns out that a summer of touring won’t be the only way a-ha says farewell to the world. As slicingupeyeballs notes, the legendary Norwegian pop outfit has announced plans to reissue its first two first two albums — 1985’s Hunting High and Low and 1986’s Scoundrel Days — in deluxe two-disc sets.
Both albums will feature a slew of b-sides, mixes, live cuts and unreleased material. Hunting High and Low includes 27 bonus tracks, 13 of which are previously unreleased. While Scoundrel Days sports 21 extras with 15 of them being unearthed for the first time yet. You can find the complete tracklists for both reissues below.
Both releases will be available exclusively through Rhino.com. Pre-orders begin on May 11th and the records will begin shipping in late June.
Meanwhile, a-ha continues traveling the globe as part of its “Ending on a High Note” farewell tour. Last night, the band kicked off the U.S. leg of the endeavor in New York City. They’ll spend the next two weeks playing New York, Toronto, Chicago, and Los Angeles before heading overseas for many more months of concerts.
