As previously reported, Brandon Flowers isn’t the only high-profile frontman releasing his own solo album in the weeks ahead. On June 22nd, Kele Okereke of Bloc Party will go out on his own with the release of The Boxer (via Glassnote Records).
In support of said release, Kele has also announced plans for his own North American tour. The 12 date trek, which is set to begin on July 23rd in Chicago, will feature Kele + full band hitting all the major metropolitan areas through early August. Of particular highlight will be an appearance at the Montreal based Osheaga Music Festival on July 31st, where they’ll play alongside Pavement, Arcade Fire, The National, and others.
