Muse records another song for another Twilight film

Even if you’re above anxiously waiting for the next chapter in the Twilight film series, there’s always the soundtrack to look forward to. As you are probably well aware, past Twilight albums have sparked new music from Thom Yorke, Death Cab for Cutie, Paramore, and MuteMath, and a new remix from Muse.

That last one has now contributed music to all three Twilight soundtracks — according to Icon vs. Icon, the first single from the upcoming The Twilight Saga: Eclipse soundtrack will be a new Muse song called “Neutron Star Collision (Love is Forever)”, which almost sounds like a parody of a Muse song title.

This confirms rumors dating back to last month that Muse would be appearing on the compilation, which arrives June 8th. “Neutron Star Collision” will find its way to U.S. radio May 17th, so keep your ears open for that, or just check back on this site, because you know we’ll have it for you. And hey, if this song is any good it’s one more thing to get excited about come this fall.

The movie itself, the third film in the almost stupidly popular vampire series, comes to theaters June 30th. Details for the rest of the film’s soundtrack have yet to be disclosed.
