Public Image, Ltd. to film New York tour stop for upcoming documentary

If you thought their last appearance onscreen was as awful as some of us, perhaps you’re hoping Public Image, Ltd. will just stay away from the cameras for the remainder of their reunion tour. But if it got you antsy for more, here’s some good news: the band is about to film an upcoming concert for its new documentary.

The film, directed by Alex Mar, hasn’t got a lot of details, but what we do know is that those in attendance at PiL’s May 19th performance at Brooklyn’s Music Hall of Williamsburg will be a a part of history. Plus, if you were a sucker and got tickets for the May 18th performance at Terminal 5, fret not; just respond to a Ticketmaster email by May 7th and you can transfer your ticket over. Finally, that lucrative film career you’ve always dreamed of! Still not swayed? DJ Justin Miller of DFA Records opens up the whole shebang. What more do you want?

And as if one late night disaster weren’t enough, the band is also scheduled to play Late Night With Jimmy Fallon on May 17th. Here’s hoping they bring their cinematic A-game a little prematurely.
