Last Christmas, Rage Against the Machine re-gifted its 1992 feel-good single “Killing In The Name Of” into the hearts and homes of families across the United Kingdom. Due in no small part to a yet another Facebook grassroots campaign, RATM wound up selling 502,000 copies of that holiday classic, earning the #1 Christmas single in the U.K., and, as promised by the band, a free show. That’s one for the annals, son.
Now that show, entitled The Rage Factor, just got a whole ton of icing on that cake, as Gogol Bordello, Roots Manuva, and Gallows will now play sets before RATM on June 6th at Finsbury Park, London (via Gigwise).
Tickets for the show are all “allocated,” which means in this sort of ironic Orwellian twist, each ticket has a photo ID on it and your visage much match the one on the tick. So be wary of people hocking tickets to the show on Craigslist (erm, Gumtree). I therefore rub the following information in:
The Rage Factor Stage Times:
Gallows – 5:20pm
Roots Manuva – 6:30pm
Gogol Bordello – 7:35pm
Rage Against The Machine – 8:50pm – 10:30pm
Worry not people of the sun, according to RATM.com, Zach, Tom, Brad, and Tim will be playing some other dates over the pond:
