In the twelve hours since we last talked Arcade Fire, the acclaimed Canadian outfit has since made even bigger news, and it rivals any festival or tour announcement you’ll hear all day. Arcade Fire will be teaming up with Spoon this August for a run of North America tour dates.
Though an official announcement is still forthcoming, dates have begun popping up on Ticketmaster.com and other outlets. So far, five dates are confirmed, all of which are centered around Arcade Fire’s August 8th headlining slot at Lollapalooza in Chicago, IL. Cities currently getting in on the action include Boston, Philadelphia, New York, Nashville, and Atlanta. Plus, with a few gaps still present (see the full tour itinerary below), we’re assuming more are still to come.
Update: The tour is now official. A Columbia, Maryland date has also been announced. Spoon will only be opening for the New York, Philly, Marland, and Atlanta dates.
Tickets for Boston and Nashville are slated to go on sale June 4th; New York on June 11th. (Other cities are TBA). Head to Ticketmaster.com for more information.
