Isis, Melvins, Torche, Boris to release singles together

Hydra Head Records and Daymare Recordings are releasing a hell of a pair of split singles that should please fans of heavy music.

One single is from a couple of Bonnaroo 2010 guests. It includes two of Isislast studio tracks, as well as a pair songs from the Melvins‘ most recent in-studio sessions, these being alternate versions pulled from their newly released album, The Bride Screamed Murder.

The Isis tracks in particular are worth some anticipation. “Way Through Woven Branches” has only been released as a bonus track on the Japanese version of the prog-metal band’s 2009 full-length Wavering Radiant, while “The Pliable Foe” makes its debut with this release.

The other single is from Florida burglary victims Torche and Japanese genre-benders Boris. Both outfits already have a history, having toured together back in 2008. The songs included, titled “King Beef” and “Luna”, are the first new tracks from both bands since their respective 2008 LPs Meanderthal and Smile.

Both singles arrive July 13th; below, see the full tracklists, as well as some upcoming tour dates.
