Jamie Lidell adds more North American tour dates

Last time we talked Jamie Lidell, the English musician has just revealed a bunch of North American tour dates and new music video. Well, get ready for much of the same.

In further support of his most recent LP Compass, Lidell has added another leg of tour dates. The new batch comes a month after his August 6th Lollapalooza appearance, starting in Denver on September 7th. The trek will then have Lidell visit the mid-western and southern portion of the United States before he wraps it all up in early October with dates across the west coast and Canada.

What’s more, Lidell has also unveiled a new music video for Compass track “I Wanna Be Your Telephone” and, because he knows better than anyone, we’ll let him sum it up:

“Exploring the libidinal economics of modern telecomms, ‘I Wanna Be Your Telephone’ was always ripe for a tantalizing, uninhibited stream of images to accompany its naughty lyrical flow. Well here it is! It’s a dance routine, a mini picture, an ascot, a homemade biscuit, a velvet drape, a hat, a pipe and a satin slip of a video.  Relax in the knowledge that naughty is still real nice.”

Below, check out both the video and upcoming tour dates. Tickets will go on sale starting Friday, June 4th via Ticketmaster.com.
