For the longest time, the Pixies never seemed too into the idea of reuniting. We all know that changed last summer, however, when, in celebration of Doolittle‘s 20th anniversary, the band hit the road. They even released a box set along the way. Now, the Pixies have mapped out an additional leg of U.S. tour dates for this fall.
Per Beatcrave, the trek begins in Philadelphia on September 7th. Eleven dates are currently scheduled and include three nights in Texas as well as stops in Nashville, Atlanta, Kansas City, Tulsa, Mesa, Las Vegas, and San Diego. As has been the case throughout their reunion tour, the Pixies will play all of Doolittle songs as well as its accompanying b-sides. The encore will then leave room for non-Doolittle material. UK pop duo Fuck Buttons will open all US dates.
A special pre-sale begins on Monday, June 7th at 9 AM EST, via the band’s website. Pre-sale tickets promise to provide access to the best seats at each show, and each purchase comes with a complete live recording of the show, delivered via email the day after the show. A general on-sale will begin on Monday, June 14th via Ticketmaster.com.
