GHOST announces first-ever North American tour

As a whole, metal is a fairly theatrical genre of music. Skulls, bloody images, and an undying obsession with the Devil (not to mention leather) are the trademarks of some truly great metal. But for Sweden’s GHOST, they’ve taken that sensibility to a whole new level. Lead by the mysterious “The Ghoul with No Name”, who dresses like a “satanic pope,” the band’s lineup is completely anonymous, only adding even more scare points to the outfit’s special blend of satanic rock with a decidedly pop twist. Now, the outfit is planning to further spread their unique musical output with their first North American tour dates this fall.

Before hitting the U.S. and Canada, the band will spend the summer rocking through Europe and playing a number of festivals, including the Download Festival and Oya Festival. Then, beginning on September 23rd in Springfield, VA, the band hit will launch the North American leg. Stops include New York, NY, Boston, MA, Toronto, ON, Quebec City, QC, Seattle, WA, San Francisco, CA, and beyond before the festivities come to a close on October 14th in Hollywood, CA. Joining the band for the three-week trek will be Enslaved and Alcest.

Check out the entire tour schedule below. The band’s debut album, Opus Eponymous, is out now.
