For his ninth studio album, rocker Lenny Kravitz decided to fill Black and White America with two decidedly unpredictable guest stars: Jay-Z and Drake. And while the album isn’t available for another two weeks, both cuts, “Boongie Drop” and “Sunflower” respectively, are available for listening below (courtesy of Billboard.com). “Boongie Drop” is a slice of pure reggae heaviness, with Hov’s verse riding the same island rhythm. “Sunflower” is another musical stretch for Kravitz, sounding like it’s straight out of Carnival. Meanwhile, Drizzy’s part is a smooth interlude amidst the pounding beat.
Black and White America hits stores August 30th via Roadrunner/Atlantic.
