Next week, thanks to the CMJ Music Marathon, New York City will receive an onslaught of talent. Not that the city isn’t used to a bevy of artists and bands — they’re quite aware of Brooklyn — but this is a little insane. Outside of all the official showcases, hundreds of venues across the Big Apple will offer countless parties, fully stocked with bands, musicians, and goodies. Here’s one more: On Friday, October 21st, the Heart Music Group, alongside yours truly and Dovecote Creative, will throw a CMJ Showcase at Pianos. The lineup packs a slew of music’s brightest new talents, including Wise Blood, Evan Voytas, North Highlands, Supreme Cuts, Cities Aviv, R E A L M A G I C, Chrome Sparks, and one epic dance party with Hard Mix.
Keep in mind, however, that this is a 21+ show. For non-CMJ badge holders, tickets are priced at $5 and are currently available online. If you’ve got plans that night, or pressed for time, we’ve provided a schedule below to help you plan accordingly. Also, don’t forget to save your energy for the following night – you know, our grand ole October Party? Big weekend.
