Video: The Polyphonic Spree – “It’s Christmas”

Choir music is a hallmark of Christmastime. But in the search for the next great feel good moment, forget the local church group or those weirdos who wonder from house to house. Instead, the multi-member symphonic pop group The Polyphonic Spree have released their own holiday single, the aptly-titled “It’s Christmas”. We knew that already, cause Thanksgiving was totally last week.

The track was originally composed in 2003 during early sessions for the band’s second album, Together We’re Heavy, and has subsequently been unearthed and mixed. As is par for the course for cuts from the Spree, it’s a blast of giant-sized, intricate pop, with so much Christmas spirit it would make Old Saint Nick himself queazy.

Check out the song below, which has been added to a montage of two shows from the band’s 7th Annual Holiday Extravaganza back in ’07. Then head here to buy the song as an MP3 or FLAC download, or a black vinyl release with a surprise B-side.

Along with a headlining set from the band, there will be performances by the Syncopated Ladies dance troupe, We’re Not Dudes, and dj pendergrassin’, alongside a petting zoo, photos with Santa, live reindeer, and, honest-to-goodness snow.
