Months later, Mikal Cronin‘s self-titled debut still charms. It’s a delightful 35 minutes. Just delightful. Now, Cronin’s added two and a half more minutes to that time-frame with his latest cut, “You Gotta Have Someone” (via Pitchfork). It’s the B-side to “Tide”, Cronin’s forthcoming 7″ single that’s being issued by Goner Records later this month. If you’ve been an alkie to the Cronin Kool-Aid, then you’ll have no qualms with this track, which scatters about and leads to a (seemingly) J Mascis-approved guitar solo. Very cool.
