On her official website, Nicki Minaj just unleashed our first taste of her sophomore LP, Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded, with ”Roman In Moscow”. Transformed into her alter ego Roman Zolanski, a creature of utter rage, Minaj spits a flow that’s very existence is poison, from the rapid-fire delivery to the sting of the slew of insults. But the lyrical content belies the emotional sentiment, with the beast Zolanski referencing Buzz Lightyear and underwear before breaking down into random, almost unsettling moaning. Capped off with a beat that is straight junkyard, assembled from bits of bass and random sirens, and the track’s intent is clear: Roman Zolanski will kill you. Witness it for yourself below.
