Giveaway: Tickets to Ryan Adams’ Live on Letterman webcast

In recent months, Wilco, Foster the People, and Peter Gabriel have all traveled to New York City’s legendary Ed Sullivan Theatre to deliver performances for the Live on Letterman webcast series. On December 5th, it’s Ryan Adams’ turn. During the one-hour event, which begins promptly at 8pm ET, the singer-songwriter/metal god will showcase tracks from his new LP, Ashes & Fire, and other selections comprising his celebrated discography.

Update: The contest is over! Congratulations to our winner, Joe!

To save someone from the sad reality of watching from home in their Snuggie, CoS is giving one reader the opportunity to attend the exclusive performance live and in person. Here’s how to win:

    — Follow us on Twitter (@coslive) and like us on Facebook. Unless you already are, which would mean you’re halfway done.

    — Then, in either a tweet or wall post, tell us why you deserve to go. Don’t be afraid to be clever, passionate, or even a little creepy. The more your argument makes us laugh, the better your chances!

We’ll announce a winner by midday tomorrow (December 2nd).* You then have the entire weekend to prepare your glitter-encrusted sign that confesses your undying love for Rye Rye.

Below, you can watch Adams perform ”Lucky Now” during a recent appearance on Later… with Jools Holland. Ashes & Fire is out now via PAX-AM/Capitol.

    * = Winner must provide own travel and accommodations.
