Bloc Party signs with Frenchkiss Records

If you missed out on all the hoopla surrounding Bloc Party last fall, then you need to know… absolutely nothing. The band didn’t actually break up. In fact, they’re currently working on their as-yet-untitled fourth LP, which will be released by Frenchkiss Records. As frontman Kele reveals on their website, the band has left Wichita Records after a three-album stay “because not only do we know and love the people at this label but we know and love this label’s output. Frenchkiss has released some mighty fine music over the years, music that has gone on to influence this very band.”

No word on when the new album will surface, but the band has already scheduled a number of festival performances for this summer, including two in North America. Check out their current itinerary below and stay tuned for more.
