Grace Potter and the Nocturnals have released a new single from their upcoming fourth studio album, The Lion the Beast the Beat. According to Rolling Stone, Never Go Back was co-written by The Black Keys’ Dan Auerbach and produced by Jim Scott (Tom Petty, The Rolling Stones).
Potter says the track came about somewhat by accident, while she and Auerbach were fucking around with the rhythm section on an old Casio keyboard in his studio, which is like a sex shop for gear pervs. On that note, head on over to Rolling Stone to stream the smoky, flute-infused Never Go Back.
The Lion the Beast the Beat arrives June 12 via Hollywood Records. Find Grace Potter and the Nocturnals’ tour schedule below, including stops at Coachella, Beale Street Music Festival, New Orleans Jazz Fest, and summer dates opening for Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw.
