Vancouver noise rock duo Japandroids have unleashed the lead single from their upcoming sophomore LP, Celebration Rock. “The House That Heaven Built” is an unceasing assault of gnarly arena rock guitars, multi-layered shouting vocals, and explosive drumming. Just when it seems things may finally quiet down, the ending refrain comes back for even more joyous noise. Stream it below.
Celebration Rock hits stores on June 5th via Polyvinyl. “The House That Heaven Built” 7″, backed by a cover of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds’ “Jack the Ripper”, will be available on May 15th.
