The National cover Bob’s Burgers’ Thanksgiving Song

Not much exists in the way of Thanksgiving Day songs (Iron Maiden’s “The Trooper” comes close maybe?) but the Fox show Bob’s Burgers is trying to right this wrong and add a Song of Thanks to the musical canon.

On this Sunday’s episode, Linda Belcher, the mom on the show, sings an little ditty about Thanksgiving, and the folks behind Bob’s Burgers decided that they should also have a more dour and dramatic version to compliment it. So of course they enlisted The National, and now we have a dreary Thanksgiving Day dirge to celebrate this, our most delicious national holiday.
