Prince will perform at SXSW 2013

Guess who else is heading for Austin? Yes, according to HitFix, Prince will perform during South by Southwest at La Zona Rosa on Saturday, March 16th.

Update: Samsung has officially announced the performance.

Prince is just the latest heavyweight confirmed for SXSW, joining the likes of Depeche Mode, Dave Grohl’s Sound City Players, Green Day, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Vampire Weekend, Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, and more. You can find a complete list of notable acts at Festival Outlook.
