Foxygen frontman Jonathan Rado has had a busy year. His band has toured extensively since the release of their impressive debut, We Are The 21st Century Ambassadors of Peace & Magic. And as we learned last month, he himself has plans for a solo album, Law and Order, which will see release on September 3rd via Woodsist Records.
Following the release of “Faces”, the album’s second single, “Hand in Mine”, is a boy-girl duet of the ’60s psych-pop kind. Cutesy and innocent its lo-fi sheen and Rado’s warbling croon adding extra charm it sounds like new summer love. Whether you’re skipping to the ice cream parlor or snuggling up to your guy/gal at the drive-in theaters, this could easily be your retro jam. Listen below.
