Isabel Almeida of Brooklyn’s Hunters has proven herself to be a worthy frontwoman, her pink hair and high-kicking antics making her a raucous – if not dangerous – presence on stage. On newly revealed track “Seizure”, she and her bandmate/boyfriend Derek Watson prove they can bring the noise on record, too. While they trade vocals like “You wanna see what I’m like/ You wanna see it fall behind,” guitars trudge through the sludge left in the wake of bands like Dinosaur Jr. Heavy solos and catchy hooks make it a perfect soundtrack for Almeida’s punk-rock ninja moves, sure to be on display on their upcoming tour with Hunx and His Punx.
