ASAP Ferg has released “Hood Pope”, the latest single off his forthcoming debut album, Trap Lord. Following the “Work” remix and the ASAP Rocky-aided “Shabba”, Ferg eschews his hard-hitting, lightning-quick flow for more of a sing-talk style, tackling matters of spiritual awakening over a reverberating drum machine and airy vocal samples. Trap Lord is due out August 20th (“Hood Pope” is available for free with pre-orders from iTunes). The 13-track effort also features French Montana, ScHoolboy Q, Trinidad Jame$, Waka Flocka Flame, Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, and Onyx.
