Watch King Khan and the Shrines’ claymation video for “Darkness”

King Khan & The Shrines has unveiled a music video for their new single “Darkness”, off their first album in six years, Idle No More, due out September 3rd via their new label Merge Records. The musical opposite of the spirited psych-rock of “Born To Die”, this latest single is a methodical ballad of yelping horns and vocals drenched in heartache. Keeping with similarly uplifting sentiments, the music video features a claymation circus strong man and human cannonball on a mystical journey for spiritual and emotional absolution. (Editor’s note: Sad faces are especially poignant in the medium of clay). Tune in below.

King Khan & The Shrines will hit the road this fall in support of the LP.
