London producer Lil Silva, known for his more in-your-face grime and techno work and AlunaGeorge and SBTRKT remixes, tones things down for his new Distance EP, out August 5th via Good Years. Following the soulful, groove-heavy “No Doubt” featuring Rosie Lowe, he’s unveiled “Salient Sarah”, a silky, funk-filled collaboration with R&B vocalist Sampha (who just released his own Dual EP).
Lil Silva and Sampha are hardly strangers, having previously worked together on 2011’s “On Your Own”.
