Nas raises more than $35,000 for homeless Washington, DC family

Not all musicians have broken bad: Nas is seeking to raise $50,000 for a Washington, DC family of eight who recently lost their apartment in a fire.

For the last two weeks, Stanley Young and his family have been staying in a local area hotel. However, they only have until August 13th to find a more permanent residence. To make matters worse, Young’s wife passed away last year, and he’s currently unemployed.

Upon hearing of Young and his family’s plight, Nas launched a Crowdtilt page seeking donations. Thus far, he’s raised $35,000 and there’s still nine days left to meet the target goal of $50,000.
