Queens of the Stone to reclaim Barclays Center from tyranny of Miley Cyrus

On Sunday night, Miley Cyrus turned Brooklyn’s Barclays Center into a madhouse of giant teddy bears and rampant twerking. Come December 14th, Queens of the Stone Age will attempt to reclaim the House that Jay Z Built with their first-ever headlining performance at the arena. Anything to get images of Hank Hill’s butt out of our collective brain-space.

“New York’s Barclays Center will be designated as a (relatively) twerk-free-zone,” the band says in a press release, no doubt with a feather pen and ink on a piece of parchment. Adding, “(We’re ) restricting teddy bears to the merch table and returning guitars, drums and other such live instruments to the Barclays stage.”

Pre-sale begins on August 28th at 10 a.m. local time, with public tickets available beginning September 5th. And in case anyone forgot what real rock and roll looks/sounds like, the band’s shared a live clip of the ...Like Clockwork single “I Sat By The Ocean”.
