You’ll have to wait a little long to hear Danny Brown’s new album, Old. Seemingly frustrated by the album’s long delay, Brown took to Twitter this morning and threatened to leak the album himself. He later tweeted that the album is now due out in October.
Old is to be released on Fool’s Gold, the label owned and operated by DJ A-Trak. Following Brown’s Twitter rant, A-Trak tweeted at him, writing, “it’s coming, and we’re about to drop a video this week.” So, it’s not all bad news, I guess.
In recent months, Browns debuted a number of other songs, including Kush Coma featuring ASAP Rocky, Dope Song, and #ExpressYourself. Meanwhile, Mark Ronson dropped a new Brown track called “Dip”. It remains to be seen which of these songs will end up on the Old tracklist.
