SZA signs to Kendrick Lamar's Top Dawg Entertainment

R&B artist Solana Rowe, a.k.a. SZA, is the first female signee to Top Dawg Entertainment. The alt-songstress, who just yesterday released two new singles from her forthcoming Z EP, joins Kendrick Lamar and the rest of the Black Hippy crew of ScHoolboy Q, Ab-Soul, and Jay Rock.

SZA’s music often challenges the boundaries of all things pop, electronica and R&B — might she follow in K. Dot’s footsteps of shaking up a genre or two? We’ll have to wait and see. In the meantime, watch the label’s announcement video below, followed by a couple of our favorite tracks.
