Don’t be surprised to see U2 atop the Coachella lineup sometime in the not too distant future. It may not be in 2014, but as The Desert Sun reports, there’s mutual interest in the band one day headlining the festival.
While at the Palm Springs International Film Festival Awards Gala over the weekend, Bono reportedly told The Desert Sun that he attended the festival last year and would like the opportunity to play in the future. He then apparently asked who was in charge of booking the festival.
Coincidentally enough, prior to the gala, Coachella founder Paul Tollett told The Desert Sun to ask Bono about Coachella.
As previously reported, U2 is set to release a new album this Spring. Meanwhile, Coachella 2014 takes place in Indio, CA this April, and the lineup should be revealed shortly.
