Green Day to release Demolicious, an 18-track compilation of demos, for Record Store Day

Perhaps in an effort to sever ties with their recent shaky past, Green Day will purge 18 demos from their exhaustive trilogy recording sessions for a Record Store Day exclusive.

Titled Demolicious, the rag-tag collection includes alternate takes from ¡Uno!, ¡Dos!, ¡Tré!, in addition to a previously unreleased track, “State of Shock”, and an acoustic version of “Stay The Night”. That’s the gnarly artwork above.

The album itself will be laid out over two discs and issued on red or clear vinyl. A CD and cassette release will also be available. Here’s hoping these tracks are raw, unleaded, and far more cohesive than what surfaced officially.

Don’t forget: Record Store Day is Saturday, April 19th this year. So, start saving.
